Your link is telling me the artical is no longer there, but I dont doubt your thought. I wonder how much research or real knowledge these people have, before writing these up.

Ok, so I can see what they are saying when it comes to the "legal industry" that footprint is about to get huge. Ive never seen a legal grow op, not using some sort of outrageous HPS light system. IMHO this is where there needs to be regulations.

You know cannabis is mostly cultivated indoors because it was illegal. If I was a big time grower I would be utilizing the natural sunshine we have in abundance here at certain times of the year, and the winter would be LED for sure. I cant see using the old school lighting with the heat and expense its just don't make economic sense in this day and age.

It seems people will have to start looking deeper into cutting their carbon footprint, if they expect to make the profits they dream of. And I agree, using the outdoors to grow would be very wise, yet the cost of securing that outdoor grow area by legal standards, might be a overhead most cant afford to make. IMHO......they instantly turned this into a big mans game if your looking at becoming legal.

Totally agree, most places in Alaska have very high electric cost that wont be very profitable to run the big expensive lighting, so you better be a smart grower or you will go under fast once supply meets demand and prices drop it will be only the most efficient growers left, no doubt.
And at this point I don't see them allowing outdoor grows at all since think they have to make everything jail house secure indoors, total BS.
I also wished they would of allowed small time growers to sell at farmers markets and fairs. It would of been a big benefit to local small growers that grow more than they can consume, not to mention the boost to the local economies it would bring, but that's way too dangerous for most local governments to wrap their head around, Mean while driving past twenty bars and probably three drunk drivers, to get to the council meeting.
