I am not 100% on the licensing but I believe the Alcohol Marijuana Control Board they are in the process of writing the regs will be the ones issuing the licenses when they have the regs written is my understanding. Possibly the same place as you get a liquor license.
I dont think its available yet.

I'm sorry I missed this one beerbilly! I'm going to take an educated guess here- because they seem to be keeping this information under wraps at the moment. I'm assuming you'll go about applying to get a cannabis license the same way you would applying to get a liquor or tobacco license; you'll go through the Alaska Department of Commerce. Essentially I'm guessing your first step will be to get on Alaska.gov and look into purchasing a business license for cannabis production or retail (whichever it is you plan to do). From there, you'll be given all of the regulations, paperwork, and applications. I'm sure there will be a lot of fees involved and quite a long waiting period- as well as many other stupid hoops to jump through. But, in just a basic guess, I'm thinking here in late February we will see some kind of change of the Alaska Department of Commerce's business licensing webpage that will give us some kind of idea on how to apply.

So if im reading this right, villages will still have the over priced rates .05-.07 for $40.00, there will be a ever increasing government list your kept on, and you dont get to play unless your willing to pay out the nose to satisfy the tax hound of our Overlord!
P.S. Thank you MCB Overlords for allowing me to have 12 plants in my own home, nothing like being thrown a bone!!
