How Can You Financially Invest In Local Marijuana Businesses

I, personally, don't sell pot- but there's obviously a huge market for it and with the legalization of selling cannabis right around the corner, I'm really curious how one can go about legally investing in Alaska state marijuana businesses? Is there a way to financially back a company that intends to sell marijuana? And if so- what things do I need to look for to ensure their success and my returned profit?
