I read where they were planning on allowing smoke clubs along side legal sales establishments like in Amsterdam, how cool will that be ! now I hear Anchorage is already deciding to ban them before they even made the new law, what a bunch of dumbshitz could of made some serious coin off the summer tourist and put jobs and money in the local economy hopefully someone will show some smarts and repeal that stupidity.

The way I see the My parents are against anything new. I'm in my 40s and I'm all for it. I see the benefits and not the decades old propaganda from when my parents were young.
I'd love to get involved in the business end of it. I have a lot family land and as a bonus, it's considered native. So .... Looks like it will take a lot lobbying and younger reps in the legislature in order for real progress to happen.

You hit the nail on the head, I agree I think the abstructionist will win some ground back its already happening in many small towns where the old redneck mindset is still deeply entrenched. And sad to say it will probably take several years, if not a generation to see full legal rights in this state.

It amazes me, how many people still believe the "REEFER MADNESS" government propaganda mentality.

Read an article about Bethel looking at things. So would help the small impoverished communities with income and jobs and new homes. But hoping senators and legislature can see the income potential and with the pfd, drying up. This could really happen sooner.

I agree this has the potential to help impoverished villages that could use the added taxes to help their communities, but I am guessing a lot of them are controlled by the religious far right, and will not welcome the new industry.
In Fact Bethel already adopted a six month waiting period "after" the sales go in effect for the rest of the state.

And it might benefit them even more, to were they aren't paying $40.00 for .07 of a gram with tax payer money!

That's for sure ,It would be a great help to these small communities to have affordable smoke available some village pay $50 a grm that ends up being 0.5 gram. Sucks to be a smoker in the villages, and that's if you can even find it, and dry for weeks or months in some.

Honestly, from my experiences, it's a lack of people who want to put in the time to grow. They have access to everything we do, yet never meet or found anyone growing more then a window plant.

Most villages are lacking decent housing and have family's living with families and no extra housing or grow rooms available.
Electricity is crazy high too along with everything else, and no grow shops to get simple supplies, you have to fly in dirt even, so it can be a challenge for sure to grow in the bush not to mention the security issues of small town growing.

At $40.00 for .5 or .7 a gram, your costs for everything get taken care of when you do the math. I agree there's lack of good housing, let alone grow spaces, yet how many shipping containers are used for junk holds, shops, hobby rooms etc... that could easily be converted. Is there really any difference in being the village dealer then there would be for being known for growing? Villages are small, and everyone does know pretty much what's going on with everyone else, but IMHO, someone could very easily use one of their larger Corp dividends, and and some know how, could be setup pretty quickly.

Most small shops are just that small shops that have no heat most of the year and very few own a connex and they drip bad and are expensive to heat, where heating fuel can be $7-$10 a gln. It can be done of course, but not everyone gets the big corp checks in fact few get those.
Small town growing/ dealing is risky business a lot of folks will turn you in or rip you off the moment you leave so not as easy or cheap as in the city where you can blend in pretty easy.

I agree with everything you said, especially being easier in the city. I still think it can be done, and we will be seeing some amazing grow room ideas coming out of folks here soon.

I think a greenhouse in the summer would be the way to grow cheap anybody can make a plastic grow space and have a crop, but then again you have the riff raff to worry about. Times are changing and eventually that will become a thing of the past and it wont be a big deal to see a cannabis grow in someone's yard or shed.
